Support Worker – Stramullion

Support Worker at Stramullion

Hours: 35 per week, full time
Pay: £20,620.60
Contract: Permanent
Location: Stramullion

Stramullion work with women who have presented homeless. We provide practical, emotional and social support to women with multiple, over-lapping needs. We work with young women who are in transition from care, women who do not currently have functioning support systems, those who have experienced the Justice System, and those for whom alcohol or drug use has become unmanageable. We offer support to enable each woman to build the personal skills and resources they feel they need – equipping them to move on from homelessness in a positive, healthy and self-directed way. 

Overall purposes of the job: 

  • To provide a holistic support and resettlement service to clients;

  • To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing an effective service to the client group;

  • To work in a sensitive, flexible and non-judgmental way and within an equal opportunities framework;

  • To achieve key outcomes of the service;

  • To participate in effective teamwork and establish good channels of Communication to all local organisations.

Casual support worker

We are looking for flexible, dynamic individuals to join our friendly organisation as Casual Support Workers at various Edinburgh locations.

As a Casual Support Worker you will provide housing-related support services to a wide range of individuals. Your role will be to provide tailored support to help address the individual needs of the client to maximise their independence. You will be a self-motivated, solution focused and a forward thinker. You will need to work well, both individually and as part of a team.

Night Worker - Peffermill
We are currently recruiting for a Night Worker at our new service Peffermill!
 
Salary: £19683.3 per annum  
Hrly Rate: £10.82
Job Type: Full time, 35 hours per week
4 x 10hrs shifts then 4 off
Contract type: Permanent
Info: 28 days annual leave plus 4 public holidays and contributory pension scheme
Location: Edinburgh
 
A unique employment opportunity (challenging, entertaining, rewarding, inspiring) in our upcoming Peffermill Service, helping homeless men settle into and sustain their new homes in a supported accommodation service.
 
You must possess or be willing to work towards a suitable qualification in line with the Scottish Social Services Council Regulatory Requirements.

  • To oversee a team of staff providing holistic support to residents.
  • Provide a person-centred service which responds flexibly and quickly to the needs of adults who are alcohol dependent with complex needs.
  • Ensuring reporting requirements of the services are achieved as per service level agreements.
  • To provide support and supervision to relevant staff members.
  • Ensure staff teams are adequately trained and qualified to meet regulatory requirements.
  • On Call responsibilities.
  • Oversee a small team of support staff providing a holistic support service to residents.
  • Build and maintain an effective team and establish good channels of communication.
